Amazing location-lovely big room and friendly welcoming staff-much more like a 4 star not 3 star! Will definitely stay here if we visit again.

Very very central to all main attractions. Short taxi ride(5Euros)to Vatican.
Could walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. very easily. Plenty of restaurants and bars within easy access of hotel.

Reception staff could be a little more politer.
Top Tip
Do NOT eat at the restaurants near the pantheon. Very expensive and poor quality food.
Definately go to the sistine chapel. Just not on a sunday.

THE most fantastic hotel, superbly situated and everything of interest so near by. Second time in Rome this year and after staying 5 star in Via Venetto last time, this hotel definately beats it. Friendly, polite staff, lovely, clean, spacious room with very welcome air-conditioning. And the view whilst eating your breakfast on the roof terrace is stunning. Wouldn't stay anywhere else! The obvious sites like the Colosseum, Victor Emmanuel, The Forum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon are so close to this hotel and definately worth at least one visit. Also an absolute must is climbing to the top of St. Peters cuppola-amazing Also a stroll down to Piazza Navonna in the evening is lovely and climbing up to Borghese Park from Popolo is well worth it.

Unfortunatley building works were in operation and so we had a few distressing noisy moments. It will be lovely when finished.

The white Taxis are very expensive 67 euro from the Airport to Rome. The Hotel did the transfer for us on our return for 49 euros. We did not know about this on our arrival. The Pantheon near the Hotel is magnificent. A lovely short walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.

Lovely elegant hotel in fantastic location. Only 4 mins walk from the Pantheon and 5 from the Trevi Fountain. The hotel is situated directly opposite the Parliament so very safe as plenty of police around. Renovation work still ongoing at the moment but we had beautiful room which had been recently done.
Top Tip
Staff very helpful especially Piero in bar who recommended a couple of very good restuarants. He phoned ahead and booked us a table and we got the best service and table in the place.

The position of the Colonna Palace would make up for inumerable failings but it doesn't need to. Apart from needing 10 minutes of a plumbers time to resolve some dripping taps etc, the rooms were excellent.
Top Tip
More excellent restaurants in staggering distance than could possibly be mentioned. Rome does seem to have become considerably more expensive than my last trip 18 months ago. Expect to pay €50 a head for a good restaurant with wine etc. Colloseum 15 minutes walk in one direction, Vatican 20 minutes the other way.
