Room was way too small and poorly laid out. I couldn't get another person in!

This hotel did everything we wanted, good location, clean, basic facilities and smallish room but also quite cheap, it was also quite quiet
Top Tip
We did walk everywhere from here. We found good food aroound the Spanish steps, particularly at the bottom behind the shops, loads of good value, good food!

Disappointed to be given a twin room - two small adjoining rooms - tucked away at the end of a corridor. One bed was too hard to sleep on, the other too soft and short. Also, no hot water. We were moved, however, with no fuss, when we complained the following morning.
Coffee at breakfast tasteless.

Comfortable bedroom, excellent bathroom with deep bath and plenty of hot water. Excellent continental breakfast, piping hot coffee. Friendly reception staff. Taxi to airport booked through hotel expensive at 48 Euro - the only complaint.
Top Tip
Everything well within one hours walk of the hotel.Take hop on hop off bus on day one (or get it for 48 hours for an extra 4 Euros) to get your bearings - stops just round corner from hotel at Piazza Barberini and covers all main attractions.

Clean hotel, good central location, rated as 4 star - this was my third trip to Rome and I have previously stayed in 3 star smaller hotels, which I must say are significantly better, don't be fooled by the star ratings, there are much better, much cheaper and better located hotels in Rome.

Piaza Della Rotunda (home of the Pantheon) is an absolute must, go there in the day to see the Pantheon and in the evening to sample its unique atmosphere from one of the bars or restaurants. It's essential to vist the Forum and the Vatican museum - but take a tour, they are about 20 Euro and well worth it as you can jump the queues with a group, saving valuable hours and you learn a hell of a lot into the bargain!
