Nice tidy place in a downbeat but real part of Rome. Everything provided was above necessary standard. Rooms are clean and tidy and breakfast was more than adequate. On the edge of tourist Rome, but realistically within 1-1.5 hours walking distance from anything that you want to see. You don't need to use the underground.
Top Tip
Use the Terrabus for getting to and from the airports.
Try as many places as possible for food and drink and be prepared to pay around £25 each with 3 courses and wine for decent stuff.
The area around the hotel is a little downbeat, but it's a real part of any city, with real people and feels perfectly safe.
Make the effort to speak with Italians in Italian - it makes it all worthwhile and the response is always warm.

Grotty but central area. Hotel average - best thing about it central location.
Bathroom could have been cleaner - some hairs in the bath!

For great food and the most jolly and fun owner we have ever met, go to Ristorante da Giovanni di Valentino just around the corner on Via Fillippo Turati
