We had a "standard" double room which was well appointed but very small. Nowhere to sit except bed. Shower cubicle was small and my 6ft 3" husband found it a tight fit. Obviously original room was divided in two as narrow window in corner. Breakfast was adequate. Hotel not value for money but Rome hotels seem to be expensive. Location not bad just off Piazza Republica (close to subway) - you do a lot of walking in Rome as in any city. Plenty of restaurants in back streets.
Top Tip
While all the history and buildings of Rome are marvellous, it is good to explore some of the back streets away from the bustle. Stand up for a quick coffee for a euro or little more than a euro at one of the many bars. Plenty of water fountains where you can fill up your bottle. Over 65s from EU van have free entry to many museums including Colisseuem, Forum etc but you have to insist and need your passport.

Altogether great value for money. Everyone made me feel at home, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Top Tip
You're spoilt for choice re. reasonably-priced cafes, restaurants, etc and as the hotel is near Termini, Rome's major train, Metro and bus station, it's easy to travel around the city and further afield.
