Roof terraces are quite common among Rome hotels, but the one at the ISA is a particular winner, boasting lovely sunset views over St Peter's. The rest of the property - from the chic rooms to the gracious public areas - wins equal praise from previous guests.
A boutique property, the Isa hotel is housed in a traditional Roman palazzo, which blends in well with the surrounding historic architecture. The medium sized lobby features striking black and white décor and has a sitting area on the left hand side of the reception desk. Also medium sized, the 40 guestrooms are decorated in an understated but cosy style. Most of them have been recently renovated and all are in very good condition.
The hotel offers a rich Continental buffet every morning in the brightly appointed rooftop breakfast room. This venue is complemented by the lovely terrace, which is adorned with lots of foliage and offers exceptional views of Vatican City and St Peter’s Basilica. Every evening during the summer months, guests can enjoy cocktails here, as well as savouring items from a fresh buffet.
